Airport Assistance Services at the Airport

Fast Track Assistance

At Sydney Airport, Airport Assist offers facilitated service in the form of priority screening on security clearance and passport control before boarding flights in Terminal 1. This is also useful particularly in the peak evening international departures when queues are likely to be long.

Meet and Greet

Our representative has an option of meeting passengers at the curbside, check-in counters, or waiting gate in T1, T2, or T3. In terminals that are spaced, a personal escort will allow easy time of navigation and time saved in transit.

Lounge Access

Sydney has one of the most effective lounge chains in the country, especially in T1 International and T3 (Qantas). Airport Assist will provide the secure transportation of qualified travelers straight to the proper lounge avoiding mix-up.

VIP Airport Assistance

VIP service makes movement organized, especially in case of holiday seasons or close international tie-ups, via coordinated check-in, discreet escort through the immigration and boarding.

Family & Special Needs

We organize wheelchair services, coordination of buggies (when possible), and assistance to the families that travel with young children. Since Terminal 1 is a large facility, directed navigation minimizes the amount of unnecessary movement.

Baggage & Porter Help

Luggage delivery services between drop off and check in or baggage pick up and delivery to next transport services benefit travelers who come and arrive on long haul international flights.

Transit Assistance

In case of international-to-domestic transfers, Airport Assist manages baggage recheck processes, at-terminal transfers by shuttle, and timings using biosecurity clearance.

Layover & Connection Tips

  • The T1 (International) is not similar to T2 and T3 (Domestic). Allow 10–15 minutes by shuttle bus or 5–10 minutes by taxi between terminals.
  • Before transferring, international arrivals are required to clear through Australian Border Force and stringent screening of biosecurity.
  • The busiest times in international departure are usually at late afternoon and evening. Security wait time is minimized by coming early.
  • Minimal connection time suggested:
    • Domestic-domestic (same terminal): 60–75 minutes.
    • International to domestic: 2 hours.
    • International to domestic: 2.5–3 hrs.
  • There is a need to collect and recheck baggage between international and domestic transfers.
  • All the terminals have easy registration of a free Wi-Fi.
  • Visa and transit: refer to the Australian government site: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au
  • Qantas are mainly the users of T3; check terminal prior to reaching the airport.
  • The concentration of lounges is in T1 (International) and T3 (Qantas Domestic).
  • There will be play areas of children in the T1 departure areas.
  • The sight of plane at T1 departure gates over runway and Botany bay is great.
  • The Rydges Sydney Airport is a hotel situated next to T1 that is perfect when having an overnight layover.
  • Mobility assistants are to be pre-booked by elderly travelers especially between terminals.
