The Sydney Airport is approximately 25 minutes away from Sydney CBD, which is at a distance of 8km. There are various ways to travel to and from the airport that includes road and rail.


Train: It takes 13 minutes to reach the city by train. Airport Link offers a fast and convenient way to reach the city and suburbs, with trains running approximately every 10 minutes. The station is located at the northern end of the terminal and accessible from the Arrivals level. To use this service, you will need to purchase an Opal Card from the station, Relay or WH Smith.

Bus to airport

Bus: Route 400 operates between Bondi Junction and Burwood, but stops at both the T1 International and T3 Domestic terminals. You will need an Opal transport card to use the service.

Airport taxi

Taxi: Fare to the city amounts to $45-55 and note that each terminal has its own sheltered taxi rank with supervisors on hand. For further assistance, the supervisors can organize taxis with baby capsules, wheelchair access, five-seaters and maxi taxis for larger groups or station wagons for large amounts of baggage.

Bike: At T1 International, bicycle racks are located at both ends of the terminal building

Pre- booked Transfer, Limo Service

Car Rental: Car rental companies are located at the arrivals level at T1 International and T2/T3 Domestic terminals like Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Budget, Thrifty and Redspot.

Shuttle: Bus and limousine transfer services between the airport and most Sydney suburbs and regional areas is provided via Mozio.

Ride Share: These pick-ups are now available at Sydney Airport. You can request a ride from your preferred app and get picked up from either the domestic or international terminals.

Limousine: It is pre-arranged to and from the airport. You should be aware that it's against the law for drivers or their agents to approach you or to solicit a fare from you. Book Limousine service here.
